Job Title: Receiving Inspector
Location: Midland, TX

We are currently looking for a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our team and ensure that incoming materials meet the highest standards of quality before being released for production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures and immediately notify the supervisor if safety protocols cannot be met. Wear all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and report all incidents and accidents regardless of severity.
- Material Inspection: Perform visual inspections of incoming materials, components, and products received from suppliers and vendors. Verify materials and quantities against packing slips and documentation.
- Documentation & Verification: Ensure that all incoming materials match the accompanying documentation. Identify and communicate any discrepancies or non-conformities to the relevant departments such as purchasing, production, and quality assurance for corrective action.
- Material Marking & Labeling: Properly mark and color-code all delivered materials for easy identification, eliminating the need for further labeling. Release materials to the Warehouse after inspection and labeling.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing receiving inspection processes, efficiency, and overall quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teams including purchasing, production, and quality assurance to resolve material discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support quality assurance processes and company goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Skills: Strong ability to recognize and evaluate weld discontinuities, assess areas of improvement, and identify weaknesses in products. Ability to perform tests and measurements on products and read technical drawings.
- Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Bilingual: Bilingual abilities in Spanish are preferred but not required.
- Team Player: Must have a high level of dedication and work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday.
- Ability to sit for normal office duties for up to 50% of the workday.
- Occasional bending, squatting, and use of ladders/stairs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
