What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metrology Technician position at Computer Aid, Inc.(CAI)?
We are looking for a Metrology Technician to conduct receiving inspections, in-process, final, and first article inspections using Optical Gauging Smart Scope and Keyence vision systems. This position will be full-time 6 month contract-to-hire position and on-site. 2nd shift Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-12am.
What You'll Do
- Conduct receiving, in-process, final, and first article inspections using Optical Gauging Smart Scope and Keyence vision systems
- Program and operate vision inspection systems to conduct precise measurements and inspections
- Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards during inspections
- Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records and reports
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
What You'll Need
Required:
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Must be a US citizen due to ITAR site requirements
- Experience using vision inspection systems
- Programing vision inspection systems
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
- SAP experience
- AS9102 experience
- Touch probe experience
- ASME Y 14.3
- Applicants with a college degree or some college coursework are preferred
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
