Our retail client is seeking a highly skilled Data/Business Analyst to manage the seamless integration of data from third-party platforms, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales and financial metrics.
Job at a Glance:
- 6-month contract position potential to extend
- 4 days onsite in Cincinnati, 1 day remote.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage data integration from third-party marketplaces, ensuring accurate and timely flow of sales data at various levels (department, commodity, item), as well as sales adjustments (discounts, commissions) and operational metrics (downtime, cancellations, courier wait times).

Perform quality assurance checks and collaborate with third-party marketplaces to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.

Manage, maintain, and improve reporting, working with leaders across multiple departments and external partners to ensure reporting requirements are being met and integrations are maintained.

Develop and refine Power BI reports to address evolving business needs, incorporating data from third-party marketplaces and other relevant sources.

Lead weekly and ad hoc reporting and analysis to support merchandising, marketing, and operational decision-making.

Maintain accurate profit and loss (P&L) statements, working collaboratively with Finance teams to provide insights to inform strategic business decisions.

Support the annual budgeting process by analyzing historical data and current trends to forecast sales and expenses.

Assist with business case development by leveraging data-driven insights to assess projected expenses, benefits, and internal rate of return (IRR).

Create, manage, and optimize business processes that support reporting, financial analysis, marketing, and operations to ensure successful execution and tracking of third-party delivery offerings.

Communicate complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications:

5 years of experience in data analysis with a focus on statistical methodology.

Experience using statistical programming languages such as R or Python.

Proficiency in database querying languages such as SQL or Alteryx.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or DAX.

Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient understanding of statistics and using algorithms for predictive performance.

Knowledge of data wrangling and ability to make recommendations on solutions.
