Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our team in supporting enterprise-level initiatives. In this role, you will act as a vital liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are accurately captured, clearly documented, and effectively communicated to deliver quality solutions. You’ll work across departments to gather requirements, design workflows, support Agile development processes, and oversee project execution. Your ability to understand both business operations and technical concepts will be key to your success.

You should be comfortable managing competing priorities, translating business needs into technical documentation, and supporting development teams throughout the SDLC. This role requires analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of process flows, and the ability to interpret basic SQL and Python code. Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine business requirements for new projects and system enhancements.

• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure that requirements are clearly understood, feasible, and properly implemented.

• Document detailed business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.

• Use tools like Visio, Balsamiq, or similar to create workflow diagrams, use cases, wireframes, and other visual documentation artifacts.

• Organize and manage project tasks, stories, and sprint cycles using JIRA, ensuring transparency and traceability of work progress.

• Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing to team accountability and alignment.

• Assist in managing stakeholder expectations, addressing questions, resolving conflicts, and delivering regular updates on project status.

• Lead initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation, including risk identification and mitigation strategies.

• Conduct impact analysis and gap analysis as needed to identify dependencies and potential blockers.

• Review SQL queries and basic Python scripts to understand data structures, validate business logic, and troubleshoot issues with development teams.

• Play a senior role on the team, providing mentorship, oversight, and quality assurance for junior analysts or cross-functional team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst supporting medium to large-scale projects

• Strong experience working directly with business users to document clear and complete business and system requirements

• Solid experience using JIRA for Agile backlog and sprint management

• Proficiency in creating process flow diagrams and mockups using Visio, Balsamiq, or similar tools

• Experience working in Agile project environments and participating in Agile ceremonies

• Leadership experience in managing project activities, cross-functional collaboration, and team facilitation

• Ability to understand and analyze SQL queries and basic Python code to support discussions with development teams and validate logic

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the financial services or a highly regulated industry
