Site Reliability Engineer
Hybrid in: Orlando (FL), Glendale (CA), and Seattle (WA)
Long term contract to hire
$65-$70/hour W2
Join our team to ensure the security and performance of our client’s guest experiences by focusing on edge security. This role involves preventing security issues at the edge of our network, working with technologies like Akamai to secure content delivery, and helping teams build resilient, secure systems.
Mission
- Prevent guest-impacting incidents by securing our edge infrastructure.
- Provide secure and efficient systems that support product teams and their work.

Responsibilities
- Work with engineering teams to implement security policies and controls at the edge (e.g., Akamai).
- Ensure high availability and security of our content delivery systems.
- Automate and streamline security processes like DNS hardening and DDoS protection.
- Build and improve monitoring and alerting systems to detect security issues early.
- Maintain secure, automated infrastructure using tools like Terraform.
- Contribute to documentation and provide guidance on security best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with Akamai
- Strong knowledge of Edge Security, including DDoS protection and WAFs.
- Experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Helm.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitLab or Jenkins.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and security groups.
- Good troubleshooting skills with tools like Splunk or Grafana.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OAuth2, SSL/TLS, and securing APIs.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Golang, Node.js, or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud security tools (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience with regulatory compliance and security patching practices.
- Previous experience in an SRE, DevSecOps, or Security Engineering role.
Salary : $65 - $70
