Job Title: SQL Server DBA
Location: Hybrid in Greer, SC Area
Duration: 6-12 Months (Probable Contract-to-Hire)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA with expertise in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and Power BI Administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in SQL, knowledgeable about SQL Server’s add-on features, and experienced in managing large-scale database environments. This role involves both operations and project consulting responsibilities to ensure the quality, security, and efficiency of database services.
Key Responsibilities:

Database Administration:
-
Manage and administer on-premises SQL Server environments.

Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Maintain proper patch levels for database infrastructure and tools.
Reporting Services & BI Tools:
Administer and optimize SSRS and Power BI environments.
Support data reporting, visualization needs, and BI development efforts.
Project & Operations Support:
Provide consulting services for projects requiring database infrastructure.
Participate in planning and executing database hardware migrations and replacements.
Assist developers with database structure guidance and directions.
Documentation & Security:
Create and maintain documentation related to database products and solutions.
Advocate and maintain database security standards.
Issue Resolution:
Identify and resolve database issues; escalate when necessary.
Handle multiple tasks and switch priorities as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

4 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on database operations and architecture.

3 years of experience supporting and managing database systems.

Fluent in SQL and knowledgeable about SQL Server add-on features.

Strong experience with SSRS and Power BI administration.

Hands-on experience in large-scale database environments.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with database security best practices.

Experience producing technical documentation.
