Systems Engineer – Operations and Endpoint Management
Lake Buena Vista, FL (East Orlando)
Contract (hybrid 3-4 days onsite)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team, focusing on device management and operations support for our ships, private islands, and on-site locations. This is a hands-on operations role that requires both technical expertise and logistical coordination. The engineer will support and manage a variety of endpoints, including PCs, MacOS, Android, iOS, Linux, printers, antennas, and other smart devices.
The ideal candidate will have experience centrally managing devices in an enterprise environment and possess strong problem-solving skills. The role involves physical tasks such as hardware assembly, packing/unpacking, shipping, and repairs, along with procurement, vendor management, and user administration. Candidates must be self-starters with strong time management and communication skills, able to work independently and within a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and manage shipboard endpoints (PCs, mobile devices, printers, smart devices).

Deploy software via MECM and other endpoint management tools.

Manage Active Directory, ServiceNow, and other user administration tools.

Provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware and applications across ships and on-shore locations.

Oversee warehouse logistics, including equipment repairs and hardware shipping.

Procure, unpack, and assemble hardware at warehouses and site locations.

Travel to remote ports to set up embarkation equipment, provide training, and offer technical support.

Collaborate with business partners to plan, design, and implement new projects.

Maintain communication with critical shipboard officers regarding project updates and collaboration.

Partner with application teams to deploy and manage apps and systems across the fleet.

Potential travel to Florida ports for training and support.

Potential travel on cruises from Florida to assist with endpoint deployments.
Required Qualifications
-
3 years of experience in IT, systems engineering, or computer systems engineering.

Experience centrally managing Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS devices in an enterprise environment using MECM (SCCM).

Strong knowledge of Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS operating systems.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.

Ability to travel between Orlando locations and Port Canaveral using a personal vehicle.

Hands-on experience with hardware installations (PCs, cabling, peripherals).

Strong communication and documentation skills (verbal and written).

Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or other ticketing tools.

Familiarity with Confluence or other documentation/wikis.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior maritime technology experience.

Industry certifications in Windows, MacOS, Android, or iOS.
