Job at a Glance:

  • Job Title: Workstation Support / Field Support / PC Tech / Desktop Admin
  • Length of Assignment: 1 Year
  • Location: Norfolk, VA. No 100% remote options.
  • Candidates willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered.
  • Standard hours: 8 AM 5 PM.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Install software and set up hardware for users.
    2. Maintain proficiency in Windows 10, Office365 products (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), and troubleshooting computer issues.
    3. Handle large volumes of imaging requests and troubleshoot/resolving imaging issues for PCs, laptops, Toughbooks, and tablets using SCCM.
    4. Support and troubleshoot cell phones and iPads (experience preferred).
    5. Provide support for HP and OCE printers/plotters (experience preferred).
    6. Interface with a wide variety of clients, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
    7. Provide helpline or customer service support (experience preferred).
    8. Exhibit problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
    9. Prioritize tasks effectively and adjust as necessary, demonstrating a cooperative and team-oriented attitude.
    10. Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
    11. Configure and test client workstations for VPN access using secure token identification.
    12. Support company software, operating systems, workstations, charting/drawing tools, and network connectivity to minimize downtime.
    13. Install system images with appropriate operating systems for client needs.
    14. Configure core applications after deploying the base operating system image.
    15. Establish internet accessibility, TCP/IP addresses, and internal/external email accounts.
    16. Support connectivity requirements, including Ethernet and TCP/IP.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Sense of urgency and ownership in addressing and resolving customer issues.
    • Strong listening and communication skills, keeping customers informed.
    • Ability to respond to multiple customer demands.
    • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing situations.
    • Proven experience in troubleshooting, imaging, and supporting a range of devices including PCs, laptops, tablets, and printers.
    • Experience with SCCM, Windows 10, Office365, and various connectivity requirements.
