Job at a Glance:
- Job Title: Workstation Support / Field Support / PC Tech / Desktop Admin
- Length of Assignment: 1 Year
- Location: Norfolk, VA. No 100% remote options.
- Candidates willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered.
- Standard hours: 8 AM 5 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Install software and set up hardware for users.
- Maintain proficiency in Windows 10, Office365 products (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), and troubleshooting computer issues.
- Handle large volumes of imaging requests and troubleshoot/resolving imaging issues for PCs, laptops, Toughbooks, and tablets using SCCM.
- Support and troubleshoot cell phones and iPads (experience preferred).
- Provide support for HP and OCE printers/plotters (experience preferred).
- Interface with a wide variety of clients, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Provide helpline or customer service support (experience preferred).
- Exhibit problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and adjust as necessary, demonstrating a cooperative and team-oriented attitude.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
- Configure and test client workstations for VPN access using secure token identification.
- Support company software, operating systems, workstations, charting/drawing tools, and network connectivity to minimize downtime.
- Install system images with appropriate operating systems for client needs.
- Configure core applications after deploying the base operating system image.
- Establish internet accessibility, TCP/IP addresses, and internal/external email accounts.
- Support connectivity requirements, including Ethernet and TCP/IP.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Sense of urgency and ownership in addressing and resolving customer issues.
- Strong listening and communication skills, keeping customers informed.
- Ability to respond to multiple customer demands.
- Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing situations.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, imaging, and supporting a range of devices including PCs, laptops, tablets, and printers.
- Experience with SCCM, Windows 10, Office365, and various connectivity requirements.
