COMPUTER EXPLORERS is company with thirty years experience bringing computer technology education into schools and other programs across the nation. We offer some of the most exciting and cutting-edge summer camp experiences for campers of all ages in the Chattanooga area. We implement our Techstars program in summer camps, which is a program that simplifies the complex world of educational technology by connecting Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and the Arts. TechStars welcomes students into a progressive curriculum that begins with foundational skills that rapidly lead to advanced knowledge, exploring and developing new ideas, and creating hands-on projects in an educational setting designed to make learning FUN. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable individual to join us this summer in implementing our program at one of Chattanooga’s premier private schools.
The assistant director aids the camp director in the daily operation of camp. The assistant director will help campers follow along with curriculum being taught by the director but their focus will be more on discipline issues that may arise within the camp and the programming of activities for campers.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervision during early morning drop off and after camp activities
- Assist with camper transitions throughout the day
- Keep moving from group to group and make sure they are busy
- Assist with difficult campers
- Assist with rainy day activity adjustment and movement to available spaces
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 21 years of age
- At least 1 year experience working in a camp or classroom setting
- Completes all trainings and meetings within designated time frame
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Coding, Game Design, Minecraft a plus
Specifics:
- Location: Downtown Chattanooga
- Weekly camps (5 weeks) begins June 2 and ends July 11, no camp week of June 30-July 4
- Hours: 8-4:30
- Rate: $520/week, lunch provided each day
Pay: $520.00 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
