Network and Systems Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Muncie, Indiana. We are a small IT Management Services company that provides IT staffing at various public sector locations. This onsite role is ideal for an entry-level candidate with some experience who’s ready to take on critical IT responsibilities and grow with us.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Configure and manage routers and switches to optimize network traffic.
• Provide support for remote access software, facilitating secure connections for users.
• Maintain servers and manage VMware environment.
• Oversee SAN operations and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain and test backup systems for reliability.
• Provide application support to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement network solutions that meet organizational needs.
• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting processes for future reference.

Qualifications

• Proficient in managing routers and understanding TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience with firewall/UTM administration and configuration.
• Familiarity with Dell Unity 380 configuration.
• Endpoint Security configuration experience.
• SQL experience.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network ) are a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
