The Technical Account Manager exists at the intersection between business and technology. This role is tasked with becoming an expert on CTS product offerings, the industry in general, the needs of the client, and then merging them together into cohesive solutions that keep organizations working and secure. As the trusted advisor for our clients, this role must operate with the utmost integrity, dependability, and quality. At CTS, we do it right or not at all, and that all starts with the Technical Account Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive annual vCIO (technology/cybersecurity) assessments that identify areas of improvement, prioritize them into a 3-year roadmap, and create a culture of continuous improvement.
- Attend discovery meetings with clients to assess specific needs and then design technical solutions to address those needs. We don’t just want to make a sale, we must solve the client’s problem without cutting corners or implementing “band-aid” solutions. CTS offers a broad range of solutions including server migrations, cloud migrations, surveillance systems, access control systems, network overhauls, low-voltage cabling, and much more.
- Develop a business case for technical solutions and prepare sales team members for a successful presentation.
- General client consulting, such as helping them select the best software package for their business.
- Develop a broad range of expertise in the “CTS Proven Process”, CTS’ specific product offerings, and other technical solutions in the marketplace.
- Work with clients to develop processes for their business that help them succeed with technology in an efficient, predictable, and user-friendly manner.
- Assist clients with the completion of necessary compliance and cybersecurity assessments. While this role is not responsible for making a client compliant with their regulatory requirements, it is necessary to act as a subject matter expert on the client’s particular environment and technical controls.

Experience and Skills
- 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
- Experience with IT budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
- Functional knowledge of a broad range of common business technologies such as networking, servers, cloud, virtualization, audio/visual, printing, surveillance, voice, etc.
- Ability to type accurately at 40 words per minute.
- Superior communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Proven initiative, good judgment, and ability to achieve results.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Associate’s Degree or Higher in IT or Business (Preferred)
- Formal Cybersecurity Certifications (e.g. Security , CISSP, CISA)
- Formal IT Certifications (e.g. CCNA, Microsoft, Network , AWS)
