What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Operator position at ComputerAid, Inc?
We are looking for an Assembly Operator in the Fairway, NC area . This position will be full-time and on-site.
$500 bonus upon completing 90 days
What You'll Do
- Polish and test fiber optic cables
- Assemble and package fiber optic connector components
· Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
· Inspect own work using quality standards and work instructions
· Conduct tests as needed for particular operations
· Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices
· Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product
· Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
What You'll Need
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
· Minimum one year manufacturing experience
· Experience with manufacturing fiber cables
· Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading
· Available to work overtime to support production goals as needed
· Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
· Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time
· Must be able to operate machinery
· Must be proficient and able to understand written instructions in English language
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
