Investor Engagement is a new global service line for Computershare, bringing together our existing Georgeson business with our recent acquisitions, ingage and CMi2i. With these acquisitions Computershare will further expand our provision of investor engagement services and build a unique, technology led offering through the combination of these three services: Investor Relations, Investor Intelligence and Advisory. The development and delivery of our combined product offering and go to market strategy will be key to enable our current and future clients to understand the range of services we now offer and the connectivity of these services, providing a competitive advantage to Computershare in the market.
Our Advisory service will be built on the foundation of our Georgeson business. It will secure successful outcomes and mitigate transaction risk for boards and CEOs around the globe by providing strategic services to corporations and investors.
Investor Intelligence and Investor Relations will harness and expand the technology platforms and expert knowledge within these services, whilst driving the provision of unique data driven insights, used to also further support our Georgeson intelligence.
A role you will love
Reporting to the Integration CEO of Investor Engagement, you will look to build out the Investor Engagement business in North America across the three service lines, build the sales and business development team and develop the combined go-to market offering for the NA market in line with the offering and structure for the global market. You will also have responsibility and leadership of local teams delivering all three service lines.
You will work closely with the heads of the Investor Intelligence and Investor Relations business as well as the Investor Engagement COO to build the global business offering. You will be the main point of contact for Computershare’s other NA businesses to coordinate the regional go to market approach. You will be a key liaison for the CPU Relationship managers for Investor Engagement.
You will be client facing with the expectation that you will build relationships with key stakeholders in the industry and facilitate thought leadership in market.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, direct and support the local team to achieve challenging business objectives, developing tactical and strategic approaches to delivery of agreed projects.
- Drive and support the team’s efforts to proactively manage client actions, anticipate issues and implement solutions, through close working relationships and service excellence, exceeding client’s expectations.
- The pursuit of new business opportunities, maintaining a robust and qualified business pipeline and comprehensive coverage of the local listed company industry.
- Developing and executing new business strategies.
- Overseeing project work to ensure effective service delivery, effectively communicating and negotiating project requirements with clients and with internal account management teams.
- Maintaining and growing knowledge in our key service areas to deliver successful outcomes to our clients.
- Maintaining, developing and strengthening both internal and client relationships
- Engaging with the market through industry events, enterprise think tanks, speaking opportunities, etc.
- Communicating, liaising and negotiating internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of a profitable business and sustainable relationships
- Ensuring methods used during a project are streamlined to ensure effective, efficient and cost-effective completion of a project

Other key skills required for the role include:
- 10 years of financial services experience around Issuer Services, Capital Markets and Product Development is required
- Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of education
- Previous experience coaching, supporting and motivating a team
- Demonstrable experience collaborating with peers to achieve resolutions and process improvements
- Understanding of Company Secretarial or company events is preferred

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $350,000.00 - $400,000.00 USD. This base pay range is specific to New York City.
