Quality Controls Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems that ensure the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a Strong background in quality management systems and a passion for continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in enhancing our production capabilities while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze process data and implement quality assurance measures.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure adherence to QA/QC standards.
• Fabricate control system components as necessary, ensuring they meet quality specifications.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to quality systems, including procedures and protocols for data collection and analysis.
• Lead initiatives aimed at improving quality management practices within the organization.
• Provide training and support to junior engineers on quality control techniques and best practices.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on quality systems.
• Experience in the firearms industry preferred.
• CMM experience is required.
• Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies, including QA/QC processes and quality audits.
• Experience in data collection techniques and the ability to analyze data effectively for decision-making purposes.
• Knowledge of quality inspection processes and standards relevant to manufacturing environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
