GIS Specialist

Position: Associate Records & Information Analyst

Location: Akron-Fairlawn OH

• Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing):

Role will be responsible for review/analysis of Enbridge’s natural gas distribution system for potential construction and maintenance scenarios. Project documentation to be reviewed to confirm accurate and complete data entry and to verify the corresponding configuration of the physical facilities. Works in GIS, Google Earth, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Microsoft PowerApps, Survey 123, municipal websites, and database applications which model utility distribution systems. Will work in a collaborative team and as an individual to review and confirm service scenarios. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Responsibilities include:
1) Research and evaluate existing records in multiple software and records systems for completeness and accuracy, and input data into company record systems and databases as required.
2) Coordinate activities on Company projects utilizing engineering records, field book and mapping information, etc.
3) Create documentation to acquire required permits for distribution natural gas construction projects.
4) Create and organize the required documentation and assemble construction packets for contractors and field personnel.
5) Compile, track and communicate status of the above items on a location specific scale as requested.

• What are the top “nice to have” skill sets? SAP experience, GIS experience, utility knowledge
• What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)? Proven ability to work in team and as an individual, strong verbal and written communication skills.
• What education and certifications/licensures are required? High School/GED.
• Are there any specific companies/industries or ideal background you’d like to see in the candidate’s experience? Underground Utility/Natural Gas/Civil experience would be a plus.

• What is the committed timeline for interview and decision making? As soon as possible. Resources needed for ongoing project.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
