The IT Systems Engineer’s role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of Enterprise-Class IT Systems both internally and externally with our customers. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network, server, and messaging-based IT Systems. This individual will technically lead IT projects and provide escalation to other team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Support the development and implementation of new technologies within large systems environments by advising on design concepts, implementation strategies, and deployment timelines.
• Manage development, testing, and deployment of software and other computer systems technologies to ensure compliance with operational requirements for security, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Internal IT Data Center support and maintenance.
• Research existing and emerging hardware and software technologies to determine capabilities and cost-benefit relationships and develop ongoing computer systems solutions that meet performance and budgetary requirements.
• Create thorough documentation records of design specifications and deployed systems configurations.
• Coordinate and execute Azure and Private Cloud managed services implementations.
• Provide network and security assessments, identifying opportunities for system improvements and efficiencies.
• Create, document, and escalate issues and problems according to ticketing standards and SLAs.
• Perform remote and onsite scheduled maintenance for ComTec internal and client-based systems.
• Adhere to departmental policies for reporting and managing change requests.
• Participate in an emergency on-call rotation schedule.
• Support development and implementation of Microsoft Azure and Private Cloud infrastructure.
• SQL, Hyper-V, and Software Defined Storage performance tuning.
• Other duties as required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS :

Knowledgeable of Enterprise Class Storage Solutions, and Software Defined Storage.Working knowledge of HP, Dell, and SonicWall hardware.Understanding of 802.1Q VLANS and Traffic Prioritization.
