Job Title: Security Technician
Duration: 5 Months
Location: San Francisco, CA
Required Skills:
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with campus departments at all levels, contractors and design consultants; ability to effectively interact with a diverse professional staff both independently and as a team member in a busy environment
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations and reports
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and security system schematics
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated theoretical and working knowledge of electricity electronics, and electronic and computerized electronic security system design and operation
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot security system malfunction or failure
- Demonstrated knowledge of Central Station software of Bosch/Radionics receivers
- Demonstrated ability to give clear written and oral instructions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
- Working knowledge of applicable building and safety codes
- Able to analyze problems, determine solutions, and make decisions based on analysis
Education:
Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic calculations;
Two (2) years of experience at the operational level in an appropriate craft
Two (2) years lock and security systems technician apprenticeship or equivalent education and experience
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $35.00 - $41.00 per hour
