Purpose : Design, configure, provision, test, maintain, troubleshoot and document Automatic Location Identification (ALI) products / services and related monitoring / reporting on Windows and Linux Platforms to support Comtech's ALI and Next Generation E9-1-1 services. Provide operational expertise to Product Development in the above areas. Serve as tier III escalation for Comtech's service offerings. The candidate for this position should have experience in telecom, E911 and SQL Server databases. Scripting experience, supporting any ESRI GIS products is an additional advantage.

Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot service impairments and maintain accurate documentation of related trouble tickets.
• Responsible for supporting hosted and in-network ALI products and services.
• Design, install, configure and support high availability ALI applications (five 9's) for E9-1-1 and NextGen E9-1-1 call routing and delivery systems.
• Configure and maintain Automatic Location Information application systems on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Develop scripts to automate tasks and generation of reports in SQLServer.
• Backup and restore databases, troubleshoot database maintenance plans, replication and perform schema updates as part of software upgrades.
• Serve as an expert for ALI applications and delivery / display of location information related to E9-1-1 calls to PSAPs.
• Support integration test activities with external carriers / customers, vendors and PSAPs.
• Implement and maintain systems that provide master street address guide (MSAG) address lookup.
• Document system configurations, design and operational procedures.
• Participate in ISO-9000, TL-9000, and ISO-27001 compliance and documentation activities.
• Provide technical expertise for future Comtech services in the telecommunications sector.
• Stay abreast of technological trends in telecommunications.
• Evaluate and select new telephony products.
• Work with Project Managers, Tier1 / Tier2 engineers, IP Network Architects, Database Architects, Windows and Linux Systems Architects.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
• Work independently on projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
