Con Edison Interest Posting for future Provisional Customer Field Representative positions requiring Pre-employment Testing for employment. The Provisional Customer Field Representative is a temporary position and will continue until such time as the Company determines that it no longer needs these services.

• The Provisional Customer Field Representative positions require several pre-employment testing to qualify for employment.

• Con Edison is seeking to hire full time Provisional Customer Field Representatives to read electric and gas meters as well as perform field collection activities throughout Con Edison service territory based on operating needs, (Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan and Westchester). The Provisional Customer Field Representative is a temporary position and will continue until such time as the Company determines that it no longer needs these services.

• Be organized and accurate in work.
• Work in a position in which you are constantly aware of your surroundings and/or personal safety.
• Use good judgment in making on-the-job decisions.
• Require to have Driver License.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

• High School Diploma/GED

Physical Demands

• Ability to respond to system emergencies
• Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
• Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
• Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
• Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
• Acknowledge that if selected, must pass a Physical Abilites Test (PAT)

Additional Physical Demands

• Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
• Constant Walking, several miles per day in all types of weather
