**Production Business Unit Leader**
The Production Business Unit Leader will oversee all areas within their business unit, ensuring achievement of safety, quality, productivity, customer service, cost, and employee relations objectives.
This role requires a high level of direction, leadership, development, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, on-the-job assignments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, quality specifications, and sanitation practices is also essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, quality specifications, and sanitation practices.
- Participating in process improvement using ConAgra Performance System (CPS) and Autonomous Manufacturing Development (AMD) tools.
- Leading root cause analysis, investigation, and follow-through with corrective action regarding process failures, breakdowns, and/or safety issues.
- Participating in labor/management relations, including the grievance process, investigations, and corrective action if needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a food manufacturing and/or packaging environment, as well as a basic understanding of EHS and food regulations.
A background in union environments, SAP, thermal processing, and mechanical aptitude are also desirable.
Additionally, knowledge and experience with continuous improvement philosophies/tools and the ability to deliver against scorecard metrics are required.
Competencies in building and leading effective teams, conflict management, driving for results, and motivating others are essential.
