Quality Assurance

Position Summary:

Perform component, packaging, information, process, and product quality checks to ensure customer expectations are met. You will report to the Quality Manager and receive work direction from the QA Lead and Shift Lead onsite in our Maple Grove facility.

Position Responsibilities:

You will complete quality checks on:

Finished material:

• Visually and physically inspect each unique impression position.

• Moisture checks (gravimetric, Aqua Measure, Max 1000, NDC)

• UPC scan quality rating

• Glue weights (lab, NDC)

• Registration, print, appearance, and other critical visual attributes

• Measure web width, repeat length and other critical dimensions.

• Produce color standards and product samples.

• Produce handmade popcorn bags for functional testing.

• Other prescribed testing, inspecting and quality functions.

Raw materials:

• Wetting tension of metalized material

• Optical density of metalized films

• Perform solid check on all incoming bulk adhesives.

• You will perform all required lab testing, maintain records, and complete reports.

• You will communicate with the shift lead and press operator to eliminate substandard and inadequate quality attributes and rejection of raw materials.

• You will talk through issues in a constructive manner and provide constructive feedback.

• You will help with the development of communication, process improvement techniques, trouble-shooting knowledge, and test techniques.

• You will be a role model for safety and complete monthly safety audits, engagement and training activities and need to work in a culture built around continuous improvement and change.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Two years quality experience in a manufacturing environment

• Standing, reaching, and walking

• Unrestricted color perception

• Apply push/pull force up to 90 pounds and lift up to 25 pounds.

• Experience reading a tape measure, perform arithmetic functions and trend analysis including fractions.

• Problem-solving Skills

• Computer skills (Including Microsoft Office Products) and QA Lab equipment.
