POSITION SUMMARY
As an Insights Manager at Conair, you'll drive impactful insights for our Beauty and Home Care division, shaping the future of iconic products like hair dryers, curling irons, and garment steamers. You'll transform data into actionable strategies, analyze market trends, and collaborate across teams to unlock growth opportunities and elevate Conair’s success!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build foundational insights and develop category 101s for the Beauty and Home Care division of Conair, which encompasses Hair Dryers, Curling Irons, Garment Steamers, Hair Accessories, Brushes, and more
- Update and maintain the integrity of the Conair custom Circana database
- Evaluate the current database structure and using input from Marketing and Sales, implement changes to more accurately reflect shopper behavior in Conair categories
- Establish a process and assist in new item review for database placement
- Disseminate weekly/monthly reports in support of cross-functional stakeholders
- Leverage existing Microsoft Power BI dashboard to pull and report against ad-hoc data requests
- Conduct competitive intelligence analyses to highlight risks and opportunities to Conair sales leadership
- Provide panel-based updates on category purchase dynamics including household penetration, buy rate, loyalty, cross-purchase behavior and basket measures
- Produce actionable insights, leveraging multiple data sources to influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating findings to cross-functional groups

SKILLS TO SUCCEED
- 5 years of experience in an Insights, Analytics, or Category Development role
- Extensive experience working with Circana (IRI/NPD) or Nielsen data sets and their operating platforms
- Deep understanding of key metrics to mine for when identifying causals for market trends
- Experience working in the Beauty/Personal Care industry a plus
- Panel expertise; understanding how to create and compliment stories leveraging shopper behavior data (Numerator, Checkout, National Consumer Panel)
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
- Extensive use of manipulating and subsequently analyzing data in Excel
- Crafting logical cause-and-effect stories in Powerpoint, backed by data
- Fluency utilizing data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, Domo, etc)
- eCommerce and omni-channel business and shopper diagnosis
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
