Description
The Director of Operational Support and Education (Learning and Development) ensures operational accountability, continuity, and excellence across all aspects of CONAM Management Corporation’s portfolio. This role is responsible for developing, distributing, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that address diverse business needs, including compliance, risk management, and legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities include overseeing education and training programs, optimizing technological platforms such as screening systems, and fostering collaboration with cross-functional departments. Lease management and application processing oversight are anticipated as core departmental functions.

Duties and responsibilities :
Policy and Procedures
- Ensure that CONAM Management Corporation SOP’s are written, published, and distributed monthly.
- Work with EVPs of Property Management to determine priority for policy initiatives.
- Ensure that appropriate attention is paid to all aspects of PM business needs related to SOPs – affordable, conventional, risk mitigation, legal compliance, etc.
Legislation
Establish protocol for quarterly tracking of legislative updates in each state and locality where CONAM manages properties.Establish centralized relationships with Landlord / Tenant Counsel in each area.Verify status of any new legislation on a quarterly basis and work with Legal Department to ensure that SOPs and protocols are in-line with current legislation.Ensure that at least one associate (can be regional ops) attends annual legislative updates and reports to Ops on updates.RealPage / OnSite / Screening and Lease Platform
Conduct and attend monthly (or more frequent as necessary) with OnSite (or other screening platforms) to ensure that CONAM screening is operating appropriately.Recommend changes to screening settings in accordance with property needs.Implement changes within the platform.Evaluate new products / protocols for enhancing screening and reducing fraud.Ensure that all lease and supporting documents are implemented in accordance with state, local, and regulatory guidelines.General Education
Regular review of Grace Hill and other third-party learning platforms to ensure appropriate training assignments are in place.Consistent updates and improvements of RightTrack onboarding protocols.Working with content development, design and implement leadership training for RPMs.Working with National Education Manager, ensure that VPs are kept apprised quarterly of associate education compliance.Maintenance Education
Track training programs offered through Interplay and HD Supply.Work with utility benchmarking vendor to facilitate AB802 benchmarking.Marketing Education
Work with Marketing to develop and provide sales training to property associates ensuring accountability including topics such as working leads, converting leads to appointments, effective tours, and generating move-ins.Work with Marketing to ensure RDE’s have appropriate working knowledge of marketing platforms to be able to effectively train them.Manage and monitor content developer to ensure that education content is appropriate, meaningful, and up-to-date.Coordinate with IT, HR, Legal, Compliance and other departments to roll out and train new initiatives.Supervision of PM Analyst and assignment of tasks.All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
5-7 years of experience in the multi-family property management industry required.Previous experience supporting operational teams in a multi-family property management setting preferred.Excellent Technical SkillsProficiency in property management software platforms such as Yardi, RealPage, Boston Post, Grace Hill, revenue management, and resident insurance systems preferred.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Communication and Organizational SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational abilities with a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while maintaining attention to detail.Core Competencies

Pay Bands : Pay bands are established based on geographic location, internal equity, market conditions, and candidate qualifications. We provide competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
