About the Role
Are you passionate about building community and empowering volunteers? Do you thrive in a dynamic role that blends strategy, creativity, and hands-on program development? We’re looking for an energetic and organized Volunteer Program Manager to lead and expand our volunteer initiatives, ensuring a transformative experience for both volunteers and the communities we serve.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Innovate – Develop and manage a robust volunteer program, including recruitment, training, scheduling, retention, and recognition.
Supervise & Support – Oversee volunteer department staff, including our Digital Literacy Specialist, ensuring volunteers and interns receive the training and support needed to thrive.
Expand Community Impact – Build partnerships with educational institutions, corporate groups, and community organizations to recruit, place, and manage volunteers and interns.
Develop Programs – Collaborate with Program Directors and leadership to identify volunteer needs and pilot new community support programs.
Grow & Engage – Create compelling recruitment materials and presentations to attract individuals, groups, and corporate volunteers.
Host & Coordinate Events – Recruit and schedule community speakers, job fairs, and community-building activities.
Track & Report Success – Manage the volunteer database, analyze key metrics, and contribute to program operations reporting.
