Senior Control Systems Engineer - Mining - Oil & Gas
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team, with exposure to large-scale National projects across the US. This role offers the chance to develop technical expertise across multiple control systems and diverse projects, while also providing opportunities for travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control System Design: Design, develop, and implement control systems for mining, mineral processing, and other related industries, ensuring they meet engineering standards and client requirements.
- Technical Problem Solving: Apply broad technical knowledge to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Leadership and Oversight: Take ownership of control systems within projects, including the development, review, and approval of project deliverables.
- Documentation: Independently produce high-quality technical documentation, such as reports, specifications, procedures, and manuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, overseeing their work and supporting their professional development.
- Site and Commissioning Support: Participate in site visits and commissioning activities to ensure systems function effectively in real-world environments.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, with travel durations based on project requirements.
- Experience in mining or mineral processing projects.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, Yokogawa, or ABB).
- Proficiency in SCADA programming (e.g., Citect, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, or Cimplicity).
- Experience generating and interpreting engineering documents such as functional descriptions, alarm registers, commissioning plans, and inspection test plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for seamless client and team interaction.

Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
