Responsibilities
- Resolve escalated problems via communications with customers, including employers, insurance companies, TPAs, and labs.
- Process rebills and compose correspondence to customers.
- Monitor account aging reports for timely collection.
- Review documents and reconcile discrepancies, making necessary adjustments.
- Perform account payment reconciliations with incoming receipts.
- Prepare periodic reports on A/R and past due accounts for management and clients.
- Negotiate repayment terms on past due accounts.
- Decide when to refer accounts for collection or write them off.
- Train new employees and assist peers.
- A/R Aging Report:
- Determine when adjustments are necessary and apply.
- Resolve Employer Issues, such as misapplied or missing payments.
- Documentation:
- Interact with clinics to resolve invoice charges or issues and secure supporting documentation.
- Rebills:
- Monitor rebills for open balances and take action.
- Schedule and distribute work to meet deadlines and facilitate efficient workflows.
Qualifications
Education/Credentials
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Job-related Experience
- At least three years of demonstrated collection experience (occupational health preferred).
