Job Summary
The Human Resource Generalist (HRG), Information Systems Specialist will be primarily responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). In addition, this position will conduct other HRG activities like generating HR reports, fielding questions, entering data, onboarding new employees, auditing compliance items, managing newsletter content, and other human resource administrative duties as assigned. This position performs a variety of administrative, strategic, and planning duties to support the company's business objectives. This position reports to the Vice President, Human Resources or Director Human Resources. This position does not have direct reports.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain the HRIS database to strengthen the organization's records through accurate record keeping.
- Expert knowledge of Paylocity HRIS and Success Factors Employee Central.
- Resolve HRIS system issues with IT support.
- Field questions, find solutions, and work with HRIS vendors to correct issues.
- Advises managers and supervisors regarding appropriate resolution of HRIS issues.
- Supervise HR programs and campaigns to ensure completion.
- Assist with accurate payroll processing, resolve issues, and monitor payroll.
- Train other HR team members on the HRIS software, as needed.
- Assist the HR team with all internal and external HR related matters.
- Provide reporting to key positions, I.e. CEO, EVP, VP of HR, VP or Director of Finance, Auditing or Compliance departments.
- Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Communicate to HR Business Partners complaints brought forward by employees. Assist with investigations, as needed, for personal development purposes.
- Coordinate and maintain programs for talent planning information, performance reviews, merit review process, development plans, and performance management.
- Stay informed of the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate benefit open enrollment, changes, and training for employee benefit programs.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, newsletters or company policies.
- Follow-up, train, and occasionally administer administrative on-boarding activities and termination processes with HR Generalists.
- Conduct exit interviews, if necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- A score card that reflects performance in areas such as accuracy and completion of payroll previews.
- Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information.
- Turnover reduction for both involuntary and voluntary attrition.
- Retention of new hires in their first year of employment.
- Completion of annual performance reviews or other related talent management processes.
- Other key performance measurements as assigned.

Requirements
- High School or GED Diploma required.
- Bachelor or associate degree in information technology or related area preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- HRCI and/or SHRM Certification a plus.
- Experience with Paylocity’s HRIS and Success Factor’s Employee Central, preferred.
- Sensitivity and discretion in handling highly confidential information.
- Successfully pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
- Strong Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint).
- Effective problem solving & analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to work independently, with limited supervision.
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas and listen effectively to employee’s needs.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on internal customer satisfaction.
- Capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently with a sense of urgency.
- Comfortable under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, overnight travel occasionally.
