Daily Living Skills Counselor Role
We are seeking a Daily Living Skills Counselor who will provide life skills training services directly to clients. This role involves providing hands-on assistance to help clients develop essential skills for maintaining independence in our supported housing program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide education and skill-building assistance in multiple areas of daily living, including personal hygiene, household maintenance, food preparation, nutrition, and community integration.
- Maintain open communication with case managers regarding skill assessments and goal planning activities.
- Develop training tools and techniques in collaboration with case managers to address client needs.
- Ensure accurate documentation of visits and activities according to agency policy.
- Participate in weekly supervision and staff meetings.
- Stay up-to-date with all required compliance documents and trainings.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Rehabilitation, Social Work, or a related mental health discipline is preferred.
