CONCERN, a dynamic multi-service 501(c)(3) non-profit organization specializing in behavioral health, foster care, and social service programs, is seeking a visionary Director of Quality Assurance to shape and drive our quality assurance and compliance strategies.
This pivotal leadership role ensures our programs meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance, client safety, and operational excellence, supporting our mission to create positive, lasting change in the communities we serve.
What You Will Do:
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises assigned staff, evaluates employee performance, and makes recommendations for employment actions, as necessary.
Monitors daily operations, facilitates staff meetings, conducts staff training/coaching opportunities, and manages administrative tasks.
Delivers and documents supervision, consultation, and support to assigned staff following agency policies and procedures.
Quality Assurance Program Development
Develop and lead a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Quality Assurance (CQI) strategy that addresses regulatory, accreditation, and best practice standards.
Establish quality metrics, benchmarks, and indicators to monitor and evaluate organizational performance.
Create and maintain QA policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and excellence across all services.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
Ensure that programs meet all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, as well as standards for accreditation.
Serve as the organization's Compliance/Privacy Officer, overseeing adherence to HIPAA, confidentiality protocols, and other privacy-related regulations.
Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies during audits, site visits, and inspections.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and accreditation requirements to guide program compliance.
Data Management and Reporting
Develop systems and processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting to program quality and effectiveness.
Prepare and present quality performance reports to the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
Lead data-informed decision-making to address gaps and promote quality initiatives within the organization.
Staff Training and Development
Coordinate and conduct quality assurance training and educational programs for staff to improve compliance, quality standards, and best practices.
Mentor and support program managers and QA team members, providing guidance on implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Risk Management and Incident Review
Oversee the risk management process, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of incidents, complaints, and grievances partnering with Human Resources as needed.
Facilitate root cause analysis for critical incidents and work with teams to implement corrective actions.
Develop and implement preventive strategies to minimize risks and enhance client safety and satisfaction.
Leadership and Collaboration
Collaborate with the Executive Team to integrate quality assurance objectives into the organization's strategic planning.
Partner with Program Directors and managers to identify areas for improvement and support CQI initiatives.
Foster a culture of accountability and excellence across the organization, promoting a commitment to quality and ethical standards.
Organize and facilitate workgroups for the purpose of standardizing procedures, forms, and other practices.
Collaborate with program leadership to identify and implement best practices, ensuring consistency and efficiency throughout the organization.
Grant and Program Development Support
Assist in conducting research for new programs, responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs), and grant opportunities.
Provide data, quality metrics, and insights to support program design and funding applications.
Collaborate with leadership and program teams to ensure proposed initiatives align with the organization's mission and quality standards.
What We Are Looking For:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, or compliance within a human services, behavioral health, or non-profit setting.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, risk management, and CQI principles.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in behavioral health, social services, and foster care sectors.
Proven experience in developing and implementing QA policies, procedures, and metrics.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Working Hours:
The role is primarily Monday through Friday during regular business hours. After completing the training period, hybrid work options may be approved by the supervisor. Additional in-office days or visits to other office sites will be required periodically, based on organizational needs.
May also work evenings or weekends as needed to meet deadlines or participate in events.
