Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with household chores such as cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation as needed.
- Ensure adherence to resident rights and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Administer basic first aid or CPR when necessary and follow safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong experience in caregiving or home health support is preferred.
- Knowledge of direct support techniques and senior care practices.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of dignity in care.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
