Adult Day Services Support Staff

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Staff to join our team. As a Support Staff, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent care and support to our members. This position is 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Some of the job duties include but not limited to the following:

~Provides a supportive and therapeutic atmosphere for all individuals.

~Assures accurate daily documentation for all members. Responsible for daily goal and case note documentation. Utilizes proper forms and follows established procedures as outlined in Chapter 79.3 in IAC and agency documentation policy.

~Administers medications and maintains accurate medication documentation.

~Assists members in community integration. Transports members to activities of their choice.

~Assists in personal cares, physical needs (i.e. toileting, lifting), and behavioral issues of all members as the situation sets forth. Assists members in doctor-ordered therapy when needed.

~Supervises and assists members in performing such tasks as clean-up, lunch, personal care, and activities as needed.

~Maintains a well-organized program area.

~Follows the assigned work schedule and never leaves members unsupervised.

~Maintains knowledge of accreditation standards.

~Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills

~Must be 18 years of age or older.
~Must have a high school diploma or equivalent to apply.
~Must have a valid state of Iowa driver's license, and obtain a Class D Chauffeurs license upon hire.

~Must provide proof of auto insurance.

~Must be willing to undergo a background check.
