Job Title: Community Development Outreach Director
Job Description:
The Community Development Outreach Director is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, businesses, and individuals to promote Concord Federal Credit Union (CFCU) and increase its membership and loan portfolios. The position reports to the CEO and works closely with staff and the Board of Directors to develop and implement public relations and strategies to expand CFCU’s Field of Membership (FOM); recruit new members; and increase CFCU’s loan portfolios, thereby generating financial revenues for the credit union. The position also serves as a member of the marketing and new products committee.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, results-driven, with a passion for community and business outreach. Familiarity with the Central Brooklyn community and financial education is a big plus.
Education Requirements:
- College degree in business administration, community development, marketing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of federal credit union regulations and compliance requirements preferred but not required.
- Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) certification is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of related experience with a focus on business and community development, sales, and/or marketing.
- Proven track record of meeting performance targets such as recruitment or sales targets.
- Experience in conference development and event planning.
Examples of Deliverables:
- Recruit # new organizations/businesses into credit union’s Field of Membership
- Recruit # of CU members monthly.
- Recruit a minimum of # potential new loan borrowers monthly.
- Develop and host at least # of events monthly to market the CU’s products and services targeted to potential members, individuals, businesses, and community organizations.
Skills:
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (creating, saving, organizing files)

- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication, marketing, project and event management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Navigating/researching the internet to meet project objectives
Salary: $40,000/year, negotiable
