As the International Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for managing global marketing campaigns and communications for all Concord Label Group’s frontline and frontline catalogue releases. Delivers vision, strategy and all pertinent information/assets so that our global staff can implement effective local campaigns. This role will be the central resource to communicate information outward to the markets and inward to the labels regarding International activities. Works under general supervision of the SVP International.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
- Create and manage long-range planning for artist projects and album releases from inception through the life of the project in all pertinent markets ex-US
- Acts as the International point person for management and/or artists, as well as creating synergies between all internal departments, ex-US global staff, our distribution partner Universal and third party hires.
Outline of Specific Functions:
- Works with internal labels to ensure the vision for each project is translated into the global marketing plan.
- Works as facilitator with other departments to come up with a strong overall global plan and makes sure that our global staff have the information and tools they need for each project.
- Oversees international forecasting and budgeting for assigned releases and monitors the global P&L over the life of the respective release.
- Overall International marketing point person for assigned releases, responsible for communicating global plans and all relevant information to stakeholders including internally to the labels and label group staff and externally to artists and management.
- Manages overall execution of project timeline and sees that deadlines are met. Raises red flags immediately when an issue may affect a release; if possible, tries to anticipate such issues and proactively head off problems.
- Works to create excitement for releases within our global staff, while identifying priority markets for each project.
- Liaise with our distribution partner Universal to ensure that all releases are set up properly within relevant systems for both digital and physical releases
- Responsible for the setup of manufacture and/or distribution of physical product ex-US, working with both domestic production department and Universal production teams to ensure all deadlines are met and assets are delivered
- Localise digital assets and marketing tools as required to adapt to most effective strategies in ex-US markets
- Interact with the International Coordinator and Finance Department to ensure sales and budget information are reflected correctly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Music Management, or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimumm of 5 years of business experience, preferably in music entertainment.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with many different departments/personalities; works well in team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Strong enthusiasm for music and culture
- Experienced and engaged with all social platforms – tik tok, IG, Discord, FB, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated attitude; ability to work proactively at all times
- Excellent artist and artist management relations skills
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Excellent communications skills: professional, confident and positive demeanor.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions and solve a variety of problems.
- Ability to effectively lead marketing meetings on assigned projects with International teams, labels and artists/artists’ management.
- Travel required (about 10-15%) and must be available to work outside of normal business hours, as needed
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Sharepoint
- General agreement and acceptance of the company’s core values.
Salary Range: $75,000 - 85,000
*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
