Job Summary
We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in managing various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee orientation, and performance management. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively contribute to the organization’s goals through effective human resource practices.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organization structure, and other key details.
- Facilitate the interviewing process, ensuring a positive candidate experience while assessing qualifications.
- Assist in organization design to optimize workforce efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage talent acquisition efforts by sourcing, screening, and onboarding new employees.
- Assists with administering employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notices of changes in status to health, dental, life, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers..
- Oversee employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the company culture.
- Utilize HRIS for payroll processing and employee record management.
- Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
- Conducted or assisted with record audits and mandatory reports, including I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, and other compliance reviews.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in interviewing techniques with an emphasis on creating an inclusive hiring process.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
- Expertise in talent acquisition processes, including sourcing and onboarding best practices.
- Experience with employee orientation programs that foster a welcoming environment for new hires.
- Proficiency in HR administration tasks.
