Seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team full-time in Athens, WV. The ideal candidate possesses a strong educational background, licensure in social work (or a related field), and proven experience in public child welfare programs.
This position coordinates the Title IV-E training activities for the BCF. This position works closely with the colleges and universities in West Virginia that have accredited social work programs (the West Virginia Social Work Education Consortium, or SWEC) and the BCF Division of Training for the purpose of strengthening relationships, expanding partnerships, and enhancing training programs for children and families in WV. This individual will also work with the Division of Training to identify training needs and evaluate the impact of its child welfare training, provide technical assistance and provide for the development of professional development opportunities for BCF staff.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duty/Responsibility
- Oversee foster parent/kinship training programs, maintain a centralized registration system, evaluate program effectiveness, and report training g data to BSS.
- Align WV Social Work Education Consortium (SWEC) activities with BSS goals and Title IV-E requirements, monitor school performance, and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Collaborate on initiatives to support workforce recruitment, retention, and credentialing in public child welfare

Minimum Education
Required Licenses/Certification
- Master degree in social work (MSW) or a related field, with a social work license and at least three (3) years of experience in public child welfare programs.
- OR Bachelor degree with at least five (5) years of experience in public child welfare programs.
