As the Concord Records Marketing Intern, you will learn about digital marketing, social media, basic graphic design, and public relations. As the intern, you will maintain tour dates, formatting graphics, doing music industry related research, basic excel/data tracking sheets, playlist research, basic communication with other departments, collecting assets and help with some foundational marketing administrative tasks. You will work alongside and provide support to our marketing/digital marketing and publicity department (mostly tour press). You will collaborate with these teams at all stages of marketing campaigns and will help develop, expand, and maintain marketing channels.
Our paid internship program will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your professional skillset, increase your knowledge of the industry, and expand your network. Our goal is to help you develop your talents as well as receive dedicated mentorship and support. Our summer Internship Program will run from Tuesday, June 3rd - Friday, August 15th and allows interns to work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This internship is a paid in-person opportunity and requires the ability to work in the specified office location.
What you'll do:
- Social media management
- Content research
- Creation of simple assets and postings
- File management; assisting with organization of the archiving of our marketing contents like photos, videos, and other assets
- Digital marketing; pitching ideas relevant to our campaigns, using a research of similar artists
- Marketing tools; help with one sheets and marketing deck building
What you'll need:
- Must be an excellent communicator with exceptional writing abilities
- Have some knowledge about how social media tools work, experience with social media analytics, a plus
- An eye for design, basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop, indesign, etc.), Canva and other design tools
- Passion for the entertainment/music industry and a desire for a career as a marketer in this industry.
- Passion and appreciation for all types of music genres, especially those on the Fantasy Records roster
- Self-starter and extremely organized.
- This internship is a part-time paid internship and requires someone located in/near Los Angeles.
- The timeline of this internship program runs from Tuesday, June 3rd - Friday, August 15th. You must be able to work 20 hours/week.
The hourly rate for this position is $17.28
