Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper in the Laramie, WY area to join our finance team. As a Part-Time Bookkeeper at Concordant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting our company's overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Expense Tracking: Track and categorize expenses, ensuring all expenditures are properly documented and accounted for.
- Invoicing and Billing: Generate invoices, process payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management.
- Budget Monitoring: Monitor and report on budget variances to help with financial decision-making.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax preparation as needed.
- Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as assigned.
Needed:
- Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable or similar role(s).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office. Costpoint experience is a plus!
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Effective communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Work Schedule: This is a part-time remote/hybrid position, with flexible hours to accommodate your schedule and occasional on-site visits to our Laramie, WY office.
