Job Summary/Basic Function
Under the direction of the Norwegian camp (“Village”) dean, leadership staff members will, in the target language, plan and lead cultural programs, implement educational curriculum and be a leader & mentor to staff and camp participants. For the summer of 2025, Danish language offerings will be embedded within the Norwegian Village. Danish-speaking staff will be working collaboratively with Norwegian staff in cabins of mixed Danish and Norwegian villagers, at mealtimes, activity times, beach times and other times throughout the day. Danish counseling staff will be responsible for two hours of daily, exclusively Danish instruction for Danish villagers. Further schedules and work details will be discussed in interviews. We have a variety of different leadership positions, including Staff Lead, Credit Facilitator, and Two-Week Facilitator.

You will:
- Speak the target language with children (“villagers”) and other staff members as much as possible.
- In collaboration with the dean, develop and implement pre-summer planning and preparation.
- Organize and supervise the proficiency-based villager placement process
- Participate in all aspects of Village life, including meals, song times, evening programs, cultural presentations and staff meetings.
- Under the dean’s direction, supervise staff members, assist with staff training and coach staff.
- Be a positive role model for desired behaviors among villagers, including the use of the target language.

Minimum Qualifications
- Previous Concordia Language Villages experience
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the target language with adults and children
Preferred Qualifications
- All positions: Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
- Credit Facilitator: Teaching licensure
