What are the responsibilities and job description for the Danish Language Summer Camp Teacher - Embedded Within the Norwegian Village (2025) position at Concordia College?

- Maintain accurate grade records, complete mid session progress reports and final evaluations.
- Maintain communication with the Credit Facilitator on the progress of all credit participants in their classes and elective courses.
- Live in a cabin with children (“villagers”), as part of a counseling team, to provide supervision.
- Assist with light cleaning of the Village site (including cabins, bathrooms, activity areas, etc.) with villagers and counseling team to ensure a safe, hygienic space for everyone.
- Lead games, Cabin Council and other activities to create a cabin community.
- Supervise and interact with students during meals.
- Assist with other aspects of Village life, including cultural presentations and activity periods. Complete other tasks as assigned by the dean and leadership staff.
- Conversational and written proficiency in target language
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to model those for younger children
- Demonstrates maturity & good judgment

- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
- Experience teaching the target language and culture
- Hands-on experience working with adolescents aged 14-18
- Previous Concordia Language Villages or camping experience preferred
- Teaching licensure preferred
- Experience as a teacher in the target language at the college or university level
- Skills in teaching the target language and content in the target language
