Physical Therapy Assistant
Qualifications for the Physical Therapy Assistant position:
Graduate of a state-approved school of physical therapy assistant accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Two years of long term care or rehabilitation center experience preferred.
Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
CPR certification strongly preferred and encouraged
Indirect Supervision license preferred
As a PTA you will:
Assist the Physical Therapist with development and modification of individualized, goal-directed treatment plans, assist with overseeing all aspects of the resident’s care plan implementation.
Conduct safe and effective resident treatment sessions using the prescribed treatment plan, including resident/family education programs. Communicates resident responses to treatment, changes in care plan needs, and progress toward goals to the Physical Therapist.
Assist the PT in conducting screening of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment.
