General Summary
Position is responsible for design across multiple channels. Collaborating closely with copywriters, designers, and other team members to design marketing and communication materials to include digital assets and print collateral, including brochures, flyers, emails, direct mail, website, video and social media and printed materials.

Collaborating closely with copywriters, designers, and other team members to design marketing and communication materials to include digital assets and print collateral, including brochures, flyers, emails, direct mail, website, video and social media and printed materials.
Essential Job Functions
- Create visually appealing graphics and layouts for various marketing materials, including print, email, social media, events, presentations, digital ads, and more.
- Work alongside our creative team to brainstorm and develop innovative concepts that align with our brand's vision and goals.
- Execute design briefs with precision and creativity, ensuring all deliverables are on-brand and visually striking.
- Collaborate with Marketing team members to execute concepts aligned with brand strategy and program objectives.
- Embrace feedback from colleagues and stakeholders and iterate on designs to best serve the LCMS community and achieve organizational goals.
- Prepare final designs for presentation and production, maintaining consistency and quality across all materials.
- Stay current on design trends, production standards and technology to enhance user experience and align with organizational goals.
- Creates designs that are visually appealing, purposeful, thoughtful, and aligned with Concordia Plans mission, vision and goals.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts or related field.
- 5 years of experience in art direction, preferably in an agency or in-house marketing department.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign preferred.
- Experience in prepress, preparing final files for digital and print production, foundational typography, color theory, and layout preferred.
- Experience creating motion graphics for digital marketing campaigns (social media, email marketing, display advertising) a plus.
- Familiarity with video editing a plus.
- Knowledge of web design and UI/UX principles a plus.
