The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for facilitating business and technology system projects, establishing, and working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors across the organization. This position is responsible to develop details related to project scope, objectives, deliverables, budget, schedule, quality standards and direct and monitor project execution, communication and change management to minimize risk, ensure alignment and track timely adoption of projects.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible to plan, initiate and manage multiple on-going business and technology projects from inception to closure to ensure timely execution.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining and/or developing scope, risk, resources, timelines, metrics, budget, communication and deliverables from inception to debrief.
- Organize and lead project kick-offs, planning sessions, and reporting, functioning as a liaison between the executive team and stakeholders, department and vendors contacts.
- Develop, adjust and maintain project documents such as project charter, project plan, risk register and change log, while managing change communication, scope creep, ambiguity and stakeholder expectations.
- Facilitate and coordinate project meetings, workshops, presentations and reviews.
- Practice good stewardship and accountability in the oversight of project resources and budgets including continuous assessment of resource allocation, adaptation to changing conditions, adjusting project parameters and providing awareness and fiscally responsible recommendations.
- Follow established standards and best practices, metrics and reporting requirements to ensure project quality, compliance and proper scope.
- Track and provide continuous reporting on timelines, progress, deliverables, issues, risk and other relevant factors to stakeholders.
- Conduct project closure and handover activities to set-up for and track smooth transition.
- Follow robust debrief process to ensure thorough analysis, assessment, learning, innovation and opportunity.
- Report on project evaluation outcomes to support continued development and support of a process improvement culture.
- Utilize project management systems and technology to ensure complete, clear and timely project documentation is maintained.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of experience as a project manager, business analyst or closely related skillset
- Demonstrated success in previous roles driving cross functional projects and implementations preferred
- Experience utilizing project management methodologies
- Experience in information systems or information technologies; HRIS, preferred
- Salesforce experience preferred
