Office Profile: The Division of University Advancement is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of external communications and all fundraising and friendraising activities, including alumni & family relations and church & community relations. University Advancement is an integral part of the university's ministry and outreach. Fundraising activities support academic programs, capital projects, athletics, endowments and student aid.
Role: The Advancement Services Coordinator provides critical support to the data entry and gift processing needs of Advancement Services. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely production of receipts, pledge reminders, and gift renewal letters. The Coordinator leads report/query building for the division's CRM. The Coordinator works with Annual Giving to expand the existing annual donor base through new donor acquisition and by insuring a high level of renewals and gift upgrades. All activities of this position are to make a contribution to the fulfillment of the mission of the university.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each of the below duties satisfactorily:
- Process gifts for the University, including:
- complete the batch processing for the Accounting Office
- ensure timely production and mailing of receipts to donors, and
- work with Advancement staff to ensure proper follow up and stewardship
- Maintain biographical data on constituents by assisting with data entry/updates including addresses, demographics, constituent codes and relationship links.
- Working with DVT, send appropriate pledge reminders and gift reminders to donors.
- Assist DVT by providing donor profiles and giving reports upon request.
- Serve as the primary report/query builder (i.e. generate lists - giving, mailing, attendance, actions, moves management, etc.) for the division in the CRM
- Enter mass contact reports and attendance for all Advancement events.
- Maintain all endowment files. Assist with the distribution of the annual endowment reports.
- Assist in the supervision of student employees.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and two to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in a university setting as a professional preferred. Database experience, especially Raiser's Edge NXT, Access, and Argos are a plus. Familiarity with development functions, Concordia University Irvine and its mission are a plus.
Full Time Staff, Non-Exempt
$24 - 28/hr
