Position Summary

Concordia University seeks applicants for an adjunct faculty position in the Department of Communication. Adjunct faculty members teach assigned courses while serving as Christian role-models. The candidate will be able to teach at least one of the following 8-week, online, asynchronous courses during the summer semesters :

COMM 2100 : Interpersonal Communication (5 / 12 / 25 - 7 / 6 / 25 and 6 / 23 / 25 - 8 / 17 / 25)

COMM 4100 : Cross-Cultural Communication (6 / 23 / 25 - 8 / 17 / 25)

This is a semester-long contract with the University. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Communication and the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Each faculty member is expected to comply with all rules and regulations for University faculty as outlined in the CU Employee and Faculty Handbooks. In addition, each has the following responsibilities :

• Teach academic 6 - 15 credits per year, or the equivalent
• Assist in student advising and mentoring
• Provide evaluation
• Responsible for meeting with assigned students throughout the semester
• Provides a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis.
• Adjunct faculty reports to the chair and performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the university
• All other duties as assigned
