What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at Concrete foreman?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Encourage a workplace culture focused on safety by promoting awareness, participation in safety programs, and open communication about safety concerns
- Provide training on and promote the use of the SafetyHQ safety software program
- Support safety policy and procedure development in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
- Assist and administer training for safety program support to include topics such as Confined Space Entry, LOTO, Fall Protection, Equipment Operation, First Aid / CPR to support program requirements
- Conduct regular (daily) job site and work area audits and inspections to identify and assist in correcting compliance violations, as well as hold employees accountable
