What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Concrete Placing Co., Inc.?
Concrete Placing Company (CPC) seeks a Project Engineer to assist with our I-84 Jerome to Twin Falls project. This project is a $93 million widening of the interstate scheduled for completion in 2025. Duties of the Project Engineer include:
- Understand and implement compliance with Project’s contract, budget, and schedule,
- Assist with the development of the work activities,
- Actively supervise and manage the Project’s traffic control,
- Interact with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate timely arrival of crews and supplies,
- Communicate with Owners, Inspectors, and other contractors,
- Work with craft workers to interpret contract drawings and specifications, and
- Collect and report project information including quantities completed, and labor and equipment production.
Education and Experience
- 2 years construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience,
- 2 years experience managing and maintaining traffic control,
- ATSSA or Evergreen Safety Council certification,
- Proficiency with all MS Office products,
- Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawing and specifications, and building materials,
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
