What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Petersen Brothers Construction?
Petersen Brothers Construction is looking for a Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, responsibilities include building and coordinating on-site schedules with superintendents and ensuring quality and safety standards are met throughout the project. Support tasks include tracking material deliveries, updating logs, and handling returns or credits when needed. Asist Superintendents in preparing reports, managing 3-week lookahead schedules, and providing technical assistance with RFIs, RFQs, submittals, and samples using platforms like Procore, Bluebeam, and LEED. The role also involves taking progress and completion site photos, assisting with documentation control, managing submittals, and helping estimate and coordinate scope-gap RFQs. Strong communication with owners, vendors, subcontractors is essential especially during owner meetings. Toward project closeout, tasks include managing punch lists, participating in punch walks, and assembling final O&M manuals for distribution.
