Description
The Quality Team Leader must lead personnel assigned to a specific manufacturing line and ensure the day-to-day production schedule is accomplished to the high standards of quality associated with the Condair brand. This employee must exhibit sound decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems, develop corrective actions, and implement corrections immediately. This employee is responsible for subordinates and the effective accomplishment of assigned tasks.
Primary Duties :
Accomplish manufacturing goals by communicating job / performance expectations
Serve as a role model for team members in safety, quality, attendance, conduct, performance, and efficiency
Complete the production plan by directing assigned personnel
Provide on-the-job training for subordinates
Expedite workflow / ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
Know and enforce adherence to company policies, safety standards, 5S / Lean Manufacturing, and Common Sense Cleaning practices
Motivate and maintain harmony among subordinates
Advises department Supervisor and Manager on all production issues, including good order and discipline
Requirements :
Candidate Qualifications
1 - 5 years of experience in leading teams, preferably in a manufacturing environment
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in manufacturing / operations management a plus)
Excellent safety record
Problem-solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills
Must be adaptable to change and have the ability / desire to make a difference
Must be able to lift 40 lbs from the ground to waist level
Experience interacting with multiple groups of people and strong interpersonal skills
Strong time management skills / ability to multitask and balance conflicting priorities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong record of good attendance
Ability to effectively read and write English
Must be comfortable making decisions and delegating tasks to his / her team
