Electrician

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Install, wire, and test electrical systems, and electrical components for residential, commercial, and utility electrical systems. 
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency. 
• Follow project plans, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately complete installations.  
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues within substation energy systems and equipment. 
• Conduct troubleshooting on wiring, electrical components, and control buildings, and make necessary repairs to ensure system reliability. 
• Respond to service calls for system repairs and ensure customer satisfaction with timely, professional service. 
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of utility energy systems to ensure optimal performance. 
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to Substation installations. 
• Adhere to company and industry safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper PPE usage. 
• Conduct work in compliance with relevant electrical codes, NEC standards, OSHA guidelines, and company policies. 
• Ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations. 
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections to maintain a safe working environment. 
• Inspect installed components and connections for quality assurance, ensuring secure and efficient operation. 
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety. 
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and accountability for all installations. 
• Accurately document work performed, including system checks, testing, and any issues identified. 
• Report project progress and communicate any delays or safety concerns to the supervisor. 
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met. 
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. 
• Prepare and submit reports on project progress and system performance. 
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the team. 
• Complies with all company policies. 
• All other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate.
