Ability to travel 100% to jobsite locations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install, wire, and test electrical systems, and electrical components for residential, commercial, and utility electrical systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency.
- Follow project plans, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately complete installations.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues within substation energy systems and equipment.
- Conduct troubleshooting on wiring, electrical components, and control buildings, and make necessary repairs to ensure system reliability.
- Respond to service calls for system repairs and ensure customer satisfaction with timely, professional service.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of utility energy systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to Substation installations.
- Adhere to company and industry safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper PPE usage.
- Conduct work in compliance with relevant electrical codes, NEC standards, OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
- Ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inspect installed components and connections for quality assurance, ensuring secure and efficient operation.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and accountability for all installations.
- Accurately document work performed, including system checks, testing, and any issues identified.
- Report project progress and communicate any delays or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Prepare and submit reports on project progress and system performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Complies with all company policies.
