Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP (Work in Progress) accounting, and construction finance principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Oracle, or Procore).
- Experience with solar industry tax incentives, renewable energy credits (RECs), and grant accounting is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within construction, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial integrity.
- Supervise the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions, including AP/AR, payroll, and job costing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as construction-specific financial and labor laws.
- Oversee audits and tax filings, coordinating with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with renewable energy incentives, tax credits, and grant programs.
- Manage job costing and project-based accounting, ensuring accurate tracking of revenue and expenses.
- Work closely with project managers to analyze costs, profitability, and financial performance of solar construction projects.
- Ensure proper capital expenditure tracking and asset management related to solar infrastructure and equipment.
- Evaluate financial risks and opportunities related to solar tax credits, grants, and renewable energy financing options.
- Provide financial insights to senior management to support business growth, expansion, and investment decisions.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiencies within financial operations.
- Assist in securing project financing, including PPA (Power Purchase Agreements), tax equity investments, and grants.
- Ensures proper coverage for construction projects, equipment, and general liability.
- Manages and sets up ERP systems, financial software, and automation for accounting processes.
- Collaborates with leadership to optimize business efficiencies and drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Provides financial reports and insights to investors, lenders, or board members.
- Supports financial due diligence and integration of acquired businesses.

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
